Feeding the Homeless in Greenville, North Carolina

November 2017

Spring Arbor of Greenville wanted to make a difference in their community. So, Activity Director, Courtney Wynne, reached out to the Community Crossroads Center to find out what they could do to help.  The 98-bed homeless shelter requested 100 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to feed their residents. But 100 sandwiches just did not seem like enough.

Instead, the Spring Arbor staff, along with residents and family members, prepared 219 sandwiches! The day was filled with laughter and smiles and everyone ended up with some peanut butter and jelly on their clothes! This was truly a collaborative effort that helped many of the less fortunate in the Greenville, North Carolina community. Together, this sandwich-making team truly made a difference.

Because it’s how you live that matters.
